Types of loans available with a conventional mortgage

Most convention mortgages are fixed rate mortgages. With a fixed rate mortgage your interest rate stays fixed for the duration on the loan. Your best interest rates with a fixed rate conventional mortgage will be either a 15 or 20 year loan.

You also have an option of adjustable rate loans. This type of conventional mortgage will start out with a low interest rate but will change over the period of the loan.
